Thanks to modern technology, you have the ability to learn anywhere! With everything happening right now, you might not have anticipated finishing your semester online, but you’re tackling it like a pro!
Make a Schedule
Make a new schedule with your updated due dates. You can easily print a calendar out and fill it out.
Take it week by week and then break it up day by day with the assignments you have to do!
Be your own professor. Adjust your classes to be more equipped for your personal learning style.
Create a Routine
Wake up, shower, and get dressed – this will get you into the mindset to start your day.
Don’t wake up and get right into doing work, allow yourself time to make sure you are fully awake and make sure to eat breakfast.
Exercise during the time that would have been your commute, or just make time during the day to get a break from your electronics and studies to exercise.
Create a Work/Study Space
Designate an area in your house for just work, and do all of your work there and nothing else. You will start to associate this area with productivity.
Find an effective space to study, whatever it takes. Studying at home is surely difficult, so try your best to find a space that works for you, even if it means studying in the closet, basement, garage, etc.
Keep your space clear. Remove distractions, and reset your study space every day.
Take a Break!
It’s okay to not be productive all day. Be sure to schedule time to watch your favorite show.
Everyone is currently experiencing and learning how to navigate this pandemic. Communicate with your professors and have some flexibility with them as they reorganize their classes.
Communicate with your professors. This is new for some professors and possibly you, so reach out when they are having trouble – don’t wait. Also communicate with staff or your Peer Leader if you are having difficulties or questions.
And, of course communicate with your family, friends, and your support system. It’s an uncertain time, and communicating and connection with others is so important to getting through this.
