College staff gets scoop on new Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavors

When online marketers for Ben & Jerry’s put out a call on social media for Houston-area businesses to participate in their Texas Churned 2015 Tour promotion — which includes an office visit and two free flavor samples for all employees — the Office of Communications at the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston responded, naturally.

The college’s social media posts grabbed their attention, and staff members of the college were treated to two scoops of two new flavors: Bar-B-Que Peach and Bourbon Pecan Pie. Appreciative ice cream tasters were encouraged to voice their support of their favorite flavor online. After visitng Bauer College, the ice cream company’s website saw the Bourbon Pecan Pie flavor lead with a healthy 79 percent of the votes in the online contest.
