This month, members of the Ted Bauer Leadership Certificate Program (TBLCP) participated in their 2nd Annual TBLCP Alumni Panel and Networking Mixer.
TBLCP is a year-long leadership certificate program offered exclusively for undergraduate students in the C. T. Bauer College of Business. Students in the program spend the year attending workshops focused on topics such as public speaking, team dynamics, conflict management, and much more. The end goal is to help students become better leaders and future professionals in the business world.
Since the program’s inception, over 500 students have completed the certificate. This is why last year the TBLCP Program Manager and TBLCP Peer Advisors decided to start connecting alumni of the program with current participants. Thus, the alumni panel and mixer event was born.
Current TBLCP members attending the event spent time networking with graduated students who had completed the program as well as current UH students who completed the program. Following the Mixer, a Q&A Panel made up of five graduated TBLCP alumni took place in Melcher Hall. Current TBLCP members were given the chance to hear from alumni about how they have used the skills they learned in TBLCP.
