This spring the students in the Ted Bauer Leadership Certificate Program (TBLCP) participated in an engaging workshop with partners from BP. The workshop was called “Leadership Insights” and included an engaging presentation and group discussions. During the workshop, students were led by Kalaan Vander Hamm of BP in a series of discussions and activities regarding their personality styles. Using the Insights assessment as a framework, Kalaan walked the students through a series of activities to help them better understand their personality styles and how those influence the way they work with others.
This event served as the official spring professional event for TBLCP. All members of TBLCP have the opportunity to attend an official professional event each semester. These events usually have a focus on networking and leadership development to help build on the concepts students are learning in their weekly TBLCP workshops.
For students interested, TBLCP is a year-long leadership development program focused on helping students to develop their leadership and professional skills. This is accomplished by weekly workshops focused on communication and soft skills. Students also partake in several leadership personality assessments to help improve their self-awareness. Applications for the 2018-2019 cohort of TBLCP students will come out in early August.
