There’s something about November that makes the University of Houston campus feel especially … special.
The breeze in the air (OK, maybe it’s more like a thick humidity, but play along here), the tailgates and football games, and the abundance of Cougar red in everyone’s wardrobe and décor — it’s always a great time to be a Cougar, but UH Homecoming Week is an awesome time to be part of our community.
#UHBauer always celebrates UH Homecoming, and this year, we’ve gone all out to show our pride. Here are 4 Reasons We Love Homecoming Week.
No One’s Hiding Their Pride.
This week, Cougar Red Friday = Cougar Red all day, every day. There are so many ways to show your school spirit, from a casual logo T-shirt to more…spirited options.
We’re Filling Your Social Calendar.
If you’re sitting in your dorm room bored this week, don’t blame us. Homecoming Week is full of events on campus and off. (You can find the full list of UH events here.) And if you can’t get away from your #UHBauer classrooms and study spaces to attend an event, you can still participate in Homecoming Week by checking out college events every day through Thursday from 10 to noon and 2-4 p.m. in various Bauer locations!
Prizes As Far As the Eye Can See!
Who doesn’t love a good UH or #UHBauer piece of merch? (The answer: no one.) While you’re checking out all of the Homecoming Week events, be sure to get your hands on some of the swag that’s either free or the cost of participating in a game or survey. Shirts, pom-poms, magnets, buttons — these are a few of our favorite things!
Are You Ready for Some Football?
Football is kind of the reason for the season. Cap off Homecoming Week at 6 p.m. on 11/10 at TDECU Stadium as our UH Cougars battle Temple. Be sure to stick around during halftime, as the Homecoming King and Queen will be announced. (Four #UHBauer students have been selected for this year’s Homecoming Court. Congrats to Alivia Mikahiel, Michala Padgett, Ashton Connely & Karim Motani!)
