Being a #UHBauer student means many things — you’re earning a degree from one of the nation’s leading business schools, you probably live on Starbucks and bake sales during the semester, and you’re (of course) #MakingAwesomeHappen.
Tomorrow, we’ll celebrate you and all the things that make Bauer College the place #WhereAwesomeHappens during our 5th annual Bauer Pride Day! We’ve got so many exciting things planned for you, but today, we’re sharing our 4 Reasons You Can’t Miss Bauer Pride Day.
Before we get into the list, you need event details, right?
Bauer Pride Day
October 5, 2017
2:30-5:30 p.m. | AIM Ticker Area (Melcher Hall) – Resource Fair
5:30 p.m. | MH 160 | Dean Ramchand’s Student Chat
Win All The Things
You don’t have to give an acceptance speech, but you can try your hand at winning some pretty great prizes during the first part of Bauer Pride Day — our Resource Fair. Visit all six stations in the Melcher Hall AIM Ticker Area to learn more about #UHBauer programs like RED Labs, the Bauer Tutoring Center, scholarships and more. Once you’ve made the rounds, you’ll be entered into a drawing to be one of two winners of a Bauer Bluetooth speaker and charger. We’ll announce the winners during the second part of Bauer Pride Day, Dean Ramchand’s student address.
Meet Your New BFF
We get it — this is a pretty big place. If you haven’t found your Bauer bestie just yet, there are plenty of opportunities to mix and mingle with your classmates during Bauer Pride Day. So, get out of your dorm (or your car because we know you take naps there) to meet your future college best friends.
Awesome/Delicious Cookies
It wouldn’t be a celebration without (free) food, and Bauer Pride Day cookies are kind of a big deal. Get your hands on delicious cookies that celebrate your pride during the Resource Fair. We won’t judge if you have seconds (or fifths).
Dean’s Speech
You’re going to have to pardon our Hamilton reference, but you’re going to want to be in the room where it happens, aka MH 160 during Dean Latha Ramchand’s Student Chat.
It’s the culmination of #BauerPrideDay17, where the dean provides remarks on what’s happening at the college and what is on the horizon, specifically regarding student support and services. She will also answer questions from attendees and announce the Bauer Pride Day scholarship essay winner and Resource Fair winners.
