In April, members of the University of Houston’s Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) chapter recently placed among the top competitors in various pre-professional categories at the Texas State Leadership Conference at the San Jacinto Maritime Campus.
The organization, whose membership comprises of 50 percent Bauer students, seeks to help students build leadership skills and prepare for the workforce through competition.
“This past year was our first year as a student organization, we are hoping to increase our membership base and are looking for more students to join,” PBL president Pooja Agrawal said. “While our organization is focused on pre-professional development, we are open to all majors as we recognize that leadership can be applied to all professions.”
