This week, Bauer undergraduates had the chance to learn about leadership and focus on self-development at the first ever Bauer Leadership Night hosted by Bauer Leadership Initiatives. The event took place on Monday, August 27th and close to 100 Bauer undergraduates attended the event with students ranging from freshmen to seniors.
Bauer Leadership Night was a special event focused on helping students learn about on-campus leadership opportunities and teaching students about leadership through an interactive leadership workshop. The event began with a mini-involvement fair with representatives from the Ted Bauer Leadership Certificate Program (TBLCP), Bauer Ambassadors, and the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) at UH to talk to students about how they can become more involved with leadership programs and events on campus. The hope was to provide students with a better understanding of available leadership programs. Later on in the evening, students had the opportunity to learn about leadership and self-development in an hour-long leadership workshop led by Tom Daley, a partner at Deloitte, LLC. The workshop from Mr. Daley focused on various elements of leadership and encouraged students to embrace opportunities to be an “every day” leader in their daily lives.
This event was hosted by Bauer Leadership Initiatives led by Allison Keithly. She hopes to host more events like these in the future to give students an opportunity to learn more about leadership and self-development.
